Description For 1788-CNCR

The Allen-Bradley 1788-CNCR is a ControlNet daughtercard. This electronic communication adapter installs to a host device, enabling connection to a linear or redundant ControlNet network architecture. The 1788-CNCR comes with dual Two (2) Coaxial cable port and an RJ45 port acting as Network Access Port (NAP). It has built-in status indicators such as I/O, module, and network status indicators.

The 1788-CNCR has an operating temperature requirement of 0 to 60°C (32 to 140°F), storage temperature of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F) with relative humidity of 5 to 95% non-condensing. It must be operated in an environment with vibration not exceeding 5g @ 10-500Hz and shock of 30g.

The Network Access Port (NAP) of the 1788-CNCR permits programming of the ControlNet parameters. It is used with the 1786-CP communication cable. Only the 1786-CP is recommended for use with the 1788-CNCR and must only be used for temporary and connection only. It is not intended for permanent connection.

This card is a multifunctional communication module that allows the users to manage distributed I/O modules (I/O Bridge), transfer scheduled data via tags, communicate MSG instruction with other nodes, allow data messaging for programming purposes, and to support local communication through NAP, and it can be used as redundant media. The 1788-CNCR daughtercard has an operating voltage of 5 Volts DC at 475 milliAmps of maximum current draw, and it has a power rating of 2.375 Watts. This module has a maximum thermal dissipation rating of 8.1 BTU/hour, and it comes in an open type of enclosure. Installing it on host devices is very simple, and it connects to the ControlNet network by using a 200-micron V-pin connector communication cable. The 1788-CNCR daughter card has I/O, module, and network channel (A and B) status indicators that provide operation information for easy monitoring. It has a functional temperature range of 0 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, and a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius The 1788-CNCR daughter card can be used with 5% to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing), and it is designed to withstand 30 G of operational shock and 5 G of operational vibration. It has an average weight of 0.1 kilograms, and it is CE, c-UR-us, C-TICK, and CSA certified.
