PROSOFT MVI56-ADM 'C' Programmable Application Development Module with Ethernet

The MVI56 Application Development Ethernet Communication Module allows ControlLogix processors to interface easily with Ethernet protocol compatible devices and hosts.

The ADMNET solution is a powerful module designed with both Client and server support. This broad support enables the module to function as a data

collection submaster, or to be a powerful slave as a remote off an HMI host. Applications for the module are found in most industries, especially Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Electrical Power and Food Processing.

The MVI56-ADMNET module is a single-slot, backplane compatible solution for the ControlLogix platform. It supports two fully isolated serial ports and one Ethernet port, allowing the many field devices to be integrated into the ControlLogix platform with custom user-written 'C' code and various APIs supplied for Ethernet, serial and backplane communication.

The MVI56 Application Development Module is a ControlLogix backplane compatible module that allows user-developed 'C' applications to operate on the

ControlLogix platform. A great way to speed up custom ASCII data communications or to protect a proprietary algorithm, the ADM is a powerful tool for the ControlLogix platform.

The MVI56-ADM module is the ideal solution for many applications where serial connectivity must be added to a ControlLogix platform. Applications using the MVI56-ADM module include: 

• Bar code scanner interface

• Legacy ASCII protocol connections

• Terminal port emulation

• Printer driver (alarm/status printer)

• Customized protocol implementations

Align the module using the upper and lower tongue-and-groove slots with the

adjacent module and slide forward in the direction of the arrow. 

Move the module back along the tongue-and-groove slots until the bus

connectors on the MVI69 module and the adjacent module line up with each

other. 

Push the module’s bus lever back slightly to clear the positioning tab and

move it firmly to the left until it clicks. Ensure that it is locked firmly in place.

Close all DIN-rail latches.
