IC697MEM715 is a CMOS expansion memory manufactured by GE Automation and Controls. IC697MEM715 is available in different versions: 64 KB, 128 KB, 256 KB, and 512 KB. Typically these memories are used to expand the data and logic memory in CPU 772/771 modules or in the programmable co-processor module (alternatively known as IC697PCM711). IC697MEM715 is configurable for both data and program storageIC697MEM715 is configured as a daughter board and is placed in the same slot as the module in which it operates. Memory of the base board and the daughter board are supplementary. In the event of power loss, memory is retained by the battery on the base board housing.
