The 1791-24B8 set/reset instruction determines whether the signal state of the addressed bit needs to be changed based on the value of RLO. If the value of RLO is 1, the signal state of the addressed bit is set to 1 or cleared to 0; If RLO is 0, the signal of the addressed bit remains in its original state. For set operation, once RLO is 1, the addressed signal (output signal) status is set to 1, and even if RLO changes to 0 again, the output remains at 1; For reset operation, once RLO is 1, the addressed signal (output signal) state is set to 0, and even if RLO becomes 0 again, the output remains at 0.
