The 1771-IBN by Allen Bradley is a Digital DC Input Module. It functions to convert the DC signals sent from user devices to the logic level that the processor requires. It has direct control over the state of the corresponding bits found in the PLC data table. It is cost-efficient and saves space while allowing input to be added to a PLC control system.The 1771-IBN has a conformal coat and is compatible with the 1771-WN wiring arm. This is very handy, since it eliminates the need to disconnect the wiring. It functions with panel switching devices such as pushbuttons and selector switches as well as source-switching devices like electro-mechanical transmitters and dry contact switches.
