The 1746-P1 from Allen-Bradley is a power supply device in the SLC 500 system. Separate power supplies for SLC 500 systems require attachment on the left side of the 1746 I/O chassis. The 1746-P4 supplies power for your system at each I/O slot and for the processor. A beneficial feature for the 1746-P1 power supply unit is a functional LED light which indicates if your system is properly receiving power.
